Choc mint Spinach Smoothie

This smoothie is a great for breakfast, particularly if you are in a rush or need to eat (or drink) breakfast on the go.

The use of fresh mint and raw cacao make a lovely choc mint flavour which overpowers the english spinach.

Choc mint Spinach Smoothie
This is a healthy smoothie and a great idea for breakfast as the blender does most of the work and you can drink it on the go.

  • 1 cup english spinach
  • 4 teaspoons raw cacao powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 frozen banana (see notes)
  • 8 – 10g fresh mint leaves
  • 1 medjool date, seed removed
  1. Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
To freeze a banana, remove the skin and wrap banana in plastic wrap. Place in freezer until you need to use it. Frozen bananas are not only great for smoothies but a great way to save money as you can buy bananas when they are on special and they will freeze well until you need to use them – An economical way to eat healthy.
